Common questions

Does my child need a diagnosis to use Assembly?

No. You don't need a diagnosis, a referral, or a school's agreement to start. The profile is designed to help you understand what's going on, whether or not a diagnosis is ever part of your child's story.

How long does the profile take?

About 20 minutes for the full picture. Questions are answered one at a time and your answers save as you go, so you can stop and come back whenever you like.

How much does it cost?

The profile and the shareable report are free. Membership (the AI advisor, clinician-designed programmes, and priority support) is £15/month.

Who built Assembly?

Clinical psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists, led by a consultant clinical psychologist with over 30 years of NHS experience.

Can I share the report with school or my GP?

Yes, that's what it's for. You can download it as a PDF written for teachers, SENCOs, and GPs, so they understand your child's needs without you retelling the whole story.

Is Assembly a diagnosis?

No. The profile shows your child's strengths and needs and points you to the right next steps, including routes to assessment where that's appropriate, but it is not a medical diagnosis. If you have concerns about your child's health, speak to your GP.
